If you’ve been practicing in "BO6 Bot lobbies cheap," you’re gearing up perfectly for the new content arriving in Season 4 of Black Ops 6, launching May 29th. This season brings a host of new multiplayer maps, game modes, weapons, and special events that will refresh the gameplay experience.

Multiplayer Map Lineup

Season 4 starts with two new core 6v6 maps and one strike map, all set in Iceland. Shutdown is a small map featuring water combat, which is a rare but exciting addition to the game’s multiplayer. Fugitive is a medium-sized map set in a secret CIA black site, offering a different aesthetic from the usual Avalon style. Blitz is the strike map, a small faceoff map also located in Iceland.

Mid-season will introduce Eclipse, a strike map set in an underground nightclub in Avalon, and a reskinned version of the Black Ops 3 map Fringe. While Fringe keeps its original layout, new textures give it a fresh look. There is speculation that Fringe might be linked to new movement mechanics like wall running or jetpacks, but this is not confirmed.

New and Returning Game Modes

Season 4 debuts Team Elimination, a new mode where teams have a limited number of lives, and players must confirm kills by collecting tags to reduce the enemy’s life pool. Teammates can revive downed players by collecting their tags before the enemy confirms them, even after the team’s lives are depleted.

Returning modes include One in the Chamber and Party Ops, a limited-time mode featuring party-themed mini-games with the highest scorer winning.

Weapon Additions and Mods

The season adds several returning weapons from previous Call of Duty games: the LC10 SMG and FF AR1 assault rifle from Cold War, the S6 Model 7 marksman rifle from Black Ops 4, and the Olympia double-barreled shotgun as a special secondary weapon. Mid-season also brings a one-hit kill pickaxe melee weapon.

New weapon mods include the G-grip, which improves recoil and firing stability but blocks the laser slot; a three-round burst mod for the Strider 22; a full-auto conversion for the SVD sniper rifle; and a unique full-auto mod for the TR2 that changes it into a handgun-caliber SMG.

Events and Other Highlights

Season 4 features the Ballerina event (June 5-12), tied to the new John Wick movie, and the Rivals XP event (June 12-26), offering rewards like the Essex Model 7 marksman rifle and the Grim Reaper score streak. Zombies players will enjoy the long-awaited Grief mode, where teams compete indirectly by interfering with each other while fighting zombies.

In Warzone, The Overlook replaces Nakati Tower in downtown Verdansk. This large tower includes zip lines, staircases, and an operable crane that provides a vantage point over most of the map, promising new tactical gameplay.

Season 4 of Black Ops 6 combines nostalgic weapons and maps with new modes and events, creating a diverse and engaging experience for all players.
